Nestled in a landmark building that has shaped Bolton’s townscape for over a century, the Coffeehouse sits within a setting rich in character and heritage. Early in the 20th century, the original narrow premises were transformed into a striking four-story building, complete with a clock tower and a daily time ball drop that once marked the town’s rhythm.
Today, these architectural details remain central to the building’s identity, lending a sense of grandeur and narrative to every visit. They stand as a reminder of the many chapters that have unfolded within these walls, connecting the present experience with a long and storied past.

After standing quiet for several years, the building was carefully refurbished and given a new purpose. The ground floor was transformed into a welcoming coffee house, while the upper floors were reimagined as modern serviced offices, bringing new life, energy and creativity back into the space.
